Coaching is not therapy. Coaching emphasizes the present and future
and enhancing the strengths and skills of the client. It is not
counseling, and it does not provide a “quick fix.” The coach helps
the client uncover the wisdom within, and build on this self-awareness
in specific ways to achieve goals.
Coaches work on the phone, via email and in-person with individuals
and organizations. Most offer a complimentary introductory session,
so that you can both determine if there is a good “fit.”
Coaches come from many different backgrounds and have different
training, so if you are considering working with a coach, ask them
about their approach and style to see if there is a fit with you.
There are several coaches listed here on the WMCA website, by specialty.
